About This Podcast
1 in 3 is a domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking awareness podcast hosted by survivor and advocate Ingrid Dutton.
According to the CDC and WHO, 1 in 3 American men will experience physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Globally, 1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence—most often at the hands of someone they know.
But abuse goes far beyond physical violence. It can include emotional abuse, coercive control, psychological manipulation, financial abuse, legal abuse, stalking, and trafficking-related exploitation. These forms of abuse are often hidden, yet their impact can be devastating and long-lasting.
As a survivor of domestic violence, Ingrid uses her voice to break the silence and create honest conversations around abuse, trauma, healing, and resilience. Each week, she is joined by survivors, family members, attorneys, therapists, advocates, law enforcement professionals, and other experts to explore real stories, recovery journeys, systemic challenges, and practical resources for support.
Whether you're a victim, survivor, loved one, professional, or advocate, 1 in 3 offers empowering stories, expert insights, and practical guidance designed to inform, validate, and inspire.
Subscribe now and join the movement to break the silence, challenge stigma, and create change.
