Donkey!

Jesus enters Jerusalem, not on a mighty warhorse, but on a donkey. He comes as the true but humble servant king. As our king is, so should we be.

A GPS

Jesus is supremely interested in our belief in him. Jesus’ resurrection of Lazarus is performed so that we may believe, and belief requires that we participate in God’s saving work in the world.

We're Not Blind, Are We?

Jesus wants to heal our spiritual blindness, which keeps us from recognizing who Jesus is and what he has come to do.

Living Water

Jesus offers living water to a Samaritan woman, highlighting the inclusiveness of God's salvation and challenging our preconceptions about who can receive it.

Dark Places

As the church, we’re called to carry God’s light and love into the dark and loveless places.

Creation, Chaos, Covenant

We seek to find our place as characters in the great story of God’s love and faithfulness to creation.

Remember!

God doesn’t want our worship, no matter how perfect it is, if we aren’t going to exercise neighborly compassionate justice.

What the Lord Requires

Doing justice requires courage. Loving kindness requires patience. Walking humbly requires surrender. None of these is easy, but all of them are good.

In the End...

God has given us grace and peace so that we might endure until Jesus returns.

My Servant...

Like Israel and Jesus, we are God’s Spirit-empowered servants commissioned to enact restorative justice.

Before the Foundation...

From before the foundation of the world, God’s plan has always been to gather all of creation back to himself through the loving power of Christ.

We Wait for Joy

We often want a sign that God will come to us as a conquering hero. Here, God gives us a sign that consists of a defenseless child, not a conquering hero.

Waiting for Restoration

The desert brokenness of creation is being reversed. We are being healed so that we might rest with God for eternity.

Waiting for Peace

There is coming a king who will be unlike any other king we have known, who will establish a kingdom that is unlike any other kingdom we have known: a kingdom of peace.

Waiting for Reconciliation

God calls us to study patiently with him so that we might learn how to allow our weapons of conflict to be transformed into implements that bring life.

Save Yourself!

Jesus chooses to save others before he saves himself. Christ calls us to seek to live in the same way, actively working for the salvation of others even if it costs us greatly.
