About This Podcast

Sheikh Yousef Bakeer, a distinguished scholar and youth worker, has dedicated over 15 years to serving and empowering the youth community. Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, he attended Al-Azhar primary school, where he memorized the Quran at the age of seven. He continued his education at Al-Azhar University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies at 22. Fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Arabic, and Italian, Bakeer has traveled extensively, delivering da’wa in countries such as Spain, Denmark, and Italy. His linguistic skills and global perspective have enabled him to connect with diverse audiences, spreading knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of Islam. Since 2017, Bakeer has served as a teacher with the Manara Institute and as the Youth Director for the Islamic Center of Passaic County. His roles have involved mentoring Muslim youth, guiding them in their spiritual and personal development. He has also worked with youth in prisons, providing much-needed support and education. Currently, Bakeer is the Youth Director at the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Texas, where he continues to inspire and lead young Muslims. He holds an ijaza in Quran, signifying his expertise in Quranic recitation and interpretation, and is pursuing a PhD in Islamic Studies and a Master’s degree in chaplaincy. Sheikh Yousef Bakeer’s dedication to youth education and community service has made him a respected figure in the Muslim community. His approach combines traditional Islamic knowledge with contemporary issues, offering relatable and impactful guidance to young Muslims. His work not only nurtures the next generation of Muslim leaders but also promotes values of compassion, dedication, and resilience.
