About This Podcast

Hi there, I'm Adam Wood. On 8 October 2025 I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, it having spread to my lymph nodes and bones. To say I was surprised is an understatement; in the previous fifteen years I'd been to the doctor twice, and never stayed overnight in hospital. I was the typical fit and healthy bloke, and had no inkling that I had prostate cancer until it was too late.

In this weekly podcast I'll be sharing my experiences, from biopsies and scans, hormone therapy and side effects. I'll be talking honestly about my feelings, good times and bad, and how my friends and family are coping. No sugar-coating, but no doom and gloom either - just a normal bloke hopefully putting some of the misconceptions about advanced prostate cancer to bed.
